Rival Schools é uma banda de Post-Hardcore/Rock Alternativo originária de Nova Iorque, formada pelo Ex-Vocalista do Quicksand, Walter Schreifels (Voz e Guitarra), composta também por Ian Love (Guitarra), Cache Tolman (Baixo) eSam Siegler (Bateria).
A banda recebe o nome de um Game classico da Capcom, "Rival Schools: United By Fate".
Em 2002, o guitarrista Ian Love abandona a banda, assim em 2003 o Rival Schools também encerra as atividades, porém em 2008 o grupo se reune novamente, participando assim dos festivais Rock am Ring, Rock im Park e Download Festival.
Rival Schools também abriu shows na Inglaterra para a banda americana The Offspring.
